Health & Wellness Resources for CWMS Families:
Charlotte Wood Parent Education Online Resources
Check out the following online resources for families.  Tara Stafford, LCSW and Charlotte Wood Middle School's Health & Wellness Chair, has put together a list of online resources that can help families during this pandemic.
Social-Emotional Learning Support At Home
Sarah Clancy is a TSA at Live Oak Elementary School. She is also the Contra Costa County Teacher of the Year and SRVUSD Elementary School Teacher of the Year. Mrs. Clancy created a wonderful, comprehensive website for the Live Oak community. "Social-Emotional Learning Support at Home" has a myriad of resources geared for students and their families.  While some of the resources may apply to younger children, many apply to our middle schoolers.
Child Nutrition Information:
While we are not at school, our schools still offer meals for all students each day.  Families are asked to pre-order meals one week in advance and pick up meals daily from one of eight school sites. Pick up times 11 am - 1 pm.
Please direct families to visit the Child Nutrition Website for complete information, to pre-order meals, and to apply for the Free/Reduced Lunch Program.
Social workers are available to help families in need. Food insecurity should not occur, and families should not suffer silently. Social services resources can be found here
Support Counselors:
Each school in SRVUSD has an assigned support counselor. Families should contact schools directly to get in contact with their counselor. Currently, the District is working on how to provide mental health services to those in need.
It is very important to note that SRVUSD social workers are available to help students and families in need.  Here is the contact information for student support services.
